Well, the US got Bin Laden. There's hope for everyone. Maybe the Agency will be able to do something about all those rogue reincarnate groups. I'm not sure I'd put any money on it though. The more things change, the more they stay the same.

It seems our little community has another false prophet. They do tend to come and go. Like locusts, which they always fail to predict.
I do hope no one takes this too seriously. The problem with Oracles is that even when they're right, they're never helpful. From Oedipus to Harry Potter characters have been getting screwed over by prophecy for millennia. All because destiny is a lie. Even gods must make their own fates.
Odin sacrificed his own eye trying to gain foresight. What he got instead was insight, something far more valuable. No one can know the future. You can know yourself. You don't even have to take an eye out to do it.

I may complain about these charity events, but this one was actually quite enjoyable. It went off with out a hitch and raised a lot of money for a very good cause. I feel positively re-energized by such a show of good will.
The only stain on the evening was the appearance of a few individuals I'm quite sure were not on the guest list. Really, anyone that interested in our business could simply have asked.

Now this is what I call winter. Nothing cheers me up quite like a mountain of snow and below zero temperatures. It almost makes me wish I had a hall full of warriors to share my fire, enjoy good food and plenty of drink, and share tales of our victories, or plot our next victories. Some might cower away on cold nights, but a I always find a little bloodlust is just the thing to warm you up.

This is a truly remarkable time of year. Families gathered together and a tree lit in every home as a symbol of rebirth - the triumph of light over darkness and the longed for return of the sun, even though it remains the darkest and coldest time of the year. It's that faith, that belief and longing that never fails to impress me.

My friends, please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Leo Paulson. I wasn't previously a part of this group, though I have always taken an interest in it's activities as something like a silent partner. Given the recent upheavals I can no longer remain silent and I've agreed that it is time for me to step forward.
No doubt by now you have heard the tragic news. We all mourn the death of Josia Hughes. He was a man of great intellect and resourcefulness. I'm sure he'll be missed by many. Yet, in light of this unfortunate circumstance, new hope springs forth. While it is admirable how your former leader pulled this organization from the ashes of the lumbering behemoth that was CORE, he was never really devoted to The Cause. To The Cause that was, and The Cause that should be.
We are all gifted with knowledge and abilities that the mundanes cannot even dream of. We are gifted with the wisdom that the once-born lack. Rather than celebrating these gifts, we're asked to suppress them, to keep them secret. We're asked to submit to The Agency, an unelected government that would track us like criminals, invade our privacy, attempt to broker our personal disputes, and monopolize our transit and communications, all in the guise of helping reincarnates. They ask us not to make a stir while they spend their time covering up the Great Secret of reincarnation and making apologies to every weak mundane leader and warlord in the world.
Can we truly fault The Agency though? It's an open secret that they have no real power. Their power is as much an illusion as what they laughingly call their 'neutrality'. Even someone who has been reincarnated less than six months could tell you the obvious truth, that The Agency is a puppet regime for Camelot. The monarchy, the pampered royals who have been pulling the strings of reincarnates the world over for centuries. I ask the question today that I have asked many, many times over the years: What gives them the right? I do not answer to the Morgans. I do not answer to Camelot. I do not answer to The Agency.
I answer to myself, and to you, my friends. We have the abilities and the resources to do things our way. There are lands ripe for the taking, the lands of our other selves', ours by right. There are treasures of wealth and technology that should belong to us all, hoarded by those who claim to know what's best. Now is the time to take what's ours and to show these organizations for the shams they truly are.
All I ask for is your allegiance. Tell me you are loyal, if you would stand with us rather than against us. We can do more together than we ever could apart, and the rewards for our work will be great. I promise to deal fairly with you all, more fairly than Hughes or any leader of CORE ever did. If you do service for The Cause, you have free rein to do as you desire, so long as it doesn't conflict with our goals. If you have problems, bring them to me and I will see them resolved. If you have plans, you will have our resources to see them through. Together, we will bring a new era to our world, an era of freedom and prosperity. An era of respect for us and our gifts. This is our time.

Another storm coming, I can feel it in my bones. Not unexpected. You would have to be a fool to expect reincarnates to stay at peace for long; it's simply not in our nature. I'm always hesitant to pick a side though, it seems rather unwise, or perhaps it's just not in my nature to follow. So long as it's good for business, I won't complain. Perhaps you could all keep the destruction on your own turf though? Not to deter you from your lovely causes, it's only that it's rather inconvenient when people start blowing up tourist attractions.
